About the Observatory
The Iraq Green Observatory is an environmental platform dedicated to monitoring environmental and climate issues in Iraq, providing reliable information, raising environmental awareness, and supporting efforts toward sustainable development and environmental protection.

The Observatory seeks to provide accessible and reliable environmental information, follow developments affecting the environment, water resources, climate, weather, and sustainability, and contribute to raising public awareness of environmental challenges.
The Observatory operates within the framework of Al-Adad Organization for Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection, a locally registered Iraqi non-governmental organization. According to its registration certificate issued by the NGO Directorate of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the organization is registered under certificate No. 1FS2309009, dated 10 September 2023.
Through its digital platform, the Observatory aims to bring together environmental monitoring, data, reports, news, and awareness content in a clear and accessible form for citizens, researchers, journalists, organizations, and other interested parties.

Organizational Structure
The Iraq Green Observatory operates within Al-Adad Organization for Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection. Its work is supported by a multidisciplinary team and contributors involved in environmental monitoring, data collection, research, content development, technology, media, and public awareness.
The Observatory also seeks cooperation with researchers, environmental specialists, civil society organizations, academic institutions, media professionals, and other relevant stakeholders while maintaining professional standards of accuracy, transparency, and independence in presenting environmental information.
